No better place to learn "road safety and kids safety" than in school.
While children are taught of values on road safety for their own safety, Most of the schools specially public schools, the safety environment fails to sustain the knowledge learned by students.
Outside the school are pictures opposite to reality:
- of children crossing in the streets unmindful of their safety as they follow their elders make a daring run to cross.
- tricycle and jeepneys blocking the roads jockeying for passengers, - enforcers are reluctant to apprehend violators worst they give a blind eyes unmindful of the drivers unlawful acts of,
- vendors sell their goods unmindful of the chaos they caused
- and as they observed their elders they also observed their schools elders also are unmindful of traffic regulations.
Thus what the children had learned from the day, within vicinity of the school in a few moments is washed out from the reality of chaos... when they go out of school premises and see a different reality..
